How To Hypnotize Yourself: 5 Steps To Self Hypnosis
Master self hypnosis with these steps....

As a tool for personal enhancement and development, self hypnosis is one of the most powerful as well as one of the simplest to learn.

The benefits that being able to hypnotize yourself can give you certainly justify the time spent learning how to do it well. If you are looking to turbo charge your levels of achievement, learning how to hypnotize yourself will give you an almost unfair advantage over the rest of the field.

Like any skill that we learn there needs to be the desire to have the skill and the readiness to do whatever is required in order to learn how to hypnotize yourself. Fortunately the ability to go into an hypnotic trance state is a very natural and normal part of our day to day life. Rest assured that whatever time you put into developing your ability to hypnotize yourself, it will be repaid many times over.

What follows is a very common 5 step self hypnosis induction structure that you will find in most methods of hypnosis and self hypnosis.

 1) To begin you must find a place where you will be able to be comfortable and remain relaxed and undisturbed for however long you want your self hypnosis session to last. The ideal position is sitting down in a comfortable chair with both feet on the floor supporting you. You can of course lie down to practice your self hypnosis induction, but for many the temptation is too great and they inevitably fall asleep. Which may be just what you need, but it isn’t self hypnosis. If you want to sleep lay down. If you want to practice and learn how to hypnotize yourself, find a comfortable chair and sit up.

2) Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. This next step in your self hypnosis induction really begins to create a relaxation response and is very calming. As you exhale allow yourself to relax more, giving yourself the suggestion with each exhale to “Relax more and more…..letting go now”. By the time you have completed this 3 deep breaths part of your self hypnosis induction, you will in most cases already be in a light trance state.

 3) In this step of our self hypnosis induction, we are going to progressively relax the body, one body part at a time. How you do this specifically is entirely up to you. What seems to work best for most people is to start at the tip of the head and work downward one part at a time. Make sure to continue your breathing as this will help relax the muscles even more, say to yourself the following suggestions “My jaw is relaxing more and more with every breath” “Every gentle, easy exhale relaxes my lower back more and more” or words to that affect, as you work your way all the way through your body. Say it to yourself in a slow heavy style which will further reinforce the affect.
